Kirataka: It is a romantic comedy film which starred Yash and Oviya in the lead roles. Although, he started as a supporting actor, but soon became a rocking star with back-to-back hits. Today, Yash is known for his action, dance, and superb screen presence. He has struggled hard to make it big in the industry and never quit his efforts when he met with failures initially during his struggling days. Yash with his preservation and never-give-up attitude has achieved high success in the Kannada film industry. This is what the Kannada actor Yash has shown to the people. When one runs behind his or her dream tirelessly without giving up on any obstacles that came in the way, but, with ultimate dedication and trust, that person is surely going to achieve success. Ramachari became a game changing film in the career of Yash Some hearty laughs and tear-jerkers are guaranteed. If you love films that take their time to draw you in and are a fan of nostalgia-inducing, emotional, rural narratives and childhood experiences like first love, antics at school, etc, this movie is the pick for you. Too many supporting narratives, and song sequences add to the storyline, and at 154 minutes the movie does feel lengthy at times. Director Kishor Moodbiri's directorial debut is laud worthy and he shows promise, especially when it comes to his writing skills. Uday Leela's cinematography, especially when it comes to shots of the rain or of greenery, is commendable. Gagan Baderiya's music blends well with the narrative.
The storytelling draws you in, and has you rooting for the lead characters and their personal victories and struggles. Witty one-liners, humourous exchanges and picturesque locales are huge plus points for this narrative. And each role, regardless how minute, is given their due with well-etched out lines. All the other supporting characters ably perform their roles too. Although, Vijay might look a tad bit built for the scenes showcasing his younger, school-going days, he pulls it off with his acting prowess. While the prosthetic makeup (for Vijay Raghavendra) playing the old man seems a bit inconsistent - the actor is consistent with his gait and mannerisms.
The lead characters, Vijay Raghavendra as Lakshminarayana Malgudi and Greeshma Shridhar as Prakruti, shine in their roles. The fresh storyline and unconventional protagonists make this tale a refreshing experience. The two are at flight risk, and a chance meeting makes them embark on a road trip to Malgudi, together.
Ageing author Lakshminarayana Malgudi, has just announced his retirement, and following his wife's demise, his kids are pressuring him to move to America, to live with them. Prakruti is a young IT analyst who's annoyed with her boss constantly making passes at her.
